Did you know, that Singles' Day on November 11 is the world's biggest shopping day. If you've never heard of this "holiday", it is meant for the world's single people to purchase gifts for their best friends to show they care.
Also, Facebook reports that Black Friday is now celebrated by 1 in 3 people worldwide, up from 1 in 4 last year. That is an increase of 32% in just one year!
And if you didn't think that social media had the power to incite purchases, the 2016 Facebook Holiday Study reports that 49% of shoppers says that Facebook influences their holiday shopping.
Finally, it's not just the weeks leading up to Christmas that matter. 65% of shoppers plan to keep shopping after Christmas. (NRFS, January 2016)
The holidays are not something you want to miss out on, but you also don't want to get lost in the noise. It is important during the holiday shopping madness to not only gain the attention of your friends and followers, but to also engage them when it matters.
